b.1992 Royal College of Art, 2019 Cameron Randall is a multidisciplinary artist, field recordist, and DJ based in London. Favouring a curatorial approach to his practice, he frames original materials, contextualising and synthesising them into a different kind of logic. Objects, environmental recordings, YouTube videos, and samples become aesthetic and cultural signifiers, and through their dialogue, a distinctive language emerges. Last year he released his audio work, becoming other, under the moniker c-am, and often composes sound through an assemblage of field recordings, electro-acoustic sound, samples, synthesis, and digital processing. Previous work has involved sculpture, algorithms, sound, moving image, text, and installation. He is a resident DJ at Voices Radio, his writing has been published in the academic art journal Le Grand K, and he has performed live as part of the Science Museum Lates. email: cameron.x.randall@gmail.com bandcamp - instagram - soundcloud |
